The Menace of Mediocrity

Jesus suggested if you are lukewarm, “ I will spit you out from my mouth.“ The Hindi Islamic cultures see indecision as a deadly sin and a blatant statement of dishonoring God.
What is mediocrity and why is it so condemned by so many spiritual beliefs?
Mediocrity is not indecision but rather a state created from indecision. It is a denial of one’s ability to choose and generally occurs because of fear or powerlessness. It is the fear to create and the resulting paralysis.

Religiously it is an “unforgivable” sin for the indecisive spirit because there is neither faith to rally you nor redemption to be obtained. It is a lack of commitment to one’s self and their creation. It perhaps is the ultimate state of powerlessness. Better to have tried and fail than not try at all.
Mediocrity is not limited to just spiritual matters but personal as well as civil responsibilities.
Some of the greatest travesties that have or are being inflicted on mankind are done because no one bothered to care and or stand up for their belief in an innate good. For those wishing to take your power away, they are banking on your mediocrity and, as a result, you […]

Times Past

“Should old acquaintance be forgot” is a line to a popular song played on New Year’s Eve.

There is much discussion in spiritual circles and instruction in spiritual teachings to focus on the present—that all power is in the present, all possibility is in the present, and the past and the future do not exist. In essence that is true; yet, the concept wishing to be conveyed is often misinterpreted. In truth, you have only and will only exist in the present; it is the place of your perception; it is the place of your power. You exist nowhere else; yet, the past and the present also exist in this moment.

Immediately we can sense many readers cringing at the thought that their past exists in the present moment—rather than a negative circumstance–it is a positive situation—the present allows the past to be healed and the future to be created. It is a difficult translation for the human psyche to be instructed to live in an eternal present while listening to the clock ticking on the mantle. So as you reach the close of another year, it is appropriate to honor times past and lessons learned, and to anticipate a bright […]

Creativity vs. Creation

We often speak of humanity as creators and becoming increasingly aware of their participation in the creative force of the universe. With that increasing awareness, people have become aware of the responsibility to create well. Part of the ongoing “problem” is that humanity does not remain conscious in their creations, often mis-creating through lack of attention or accountability. Creation has always and will continue to occur—if you are taking a breath and your heart is beating, you are creating. It cannot be escaped; yet, how you respond to this innate ability to be a creator is yours.
Creation is the reality. Creation is existence. Creation is not a past event or a future experience.
It is now, an eternal, ever-evolving process of consciousness. Creativity, on the other hand, is when you actively participate in the process of creation—when you take not only individual responsibility, but also wisely use the raw materials in your reality to create.

All of you who read this concept have had moments of inspiration, spurts of creativity, being in the “zen” of things. These moments are not some arbitrary, by chance, encounters with your inner creator. Rather they are a glimpse into an ever-present process available to you […]

In Times of Tribulation

We understand your pain, your sorrow, your anguish, and your isolation, and we, the entirety of the Universe, kneel before you, lord and master of All That Is. We are one with you in acknowledgment of your ascent in Consciousness and beg you, beseech you, implore you, don’t give up. We pave the way before you. Indeed, in this world you will have challenges, but you have conquered the world from a place of power. All that you see, acknowledge–acknowledge the Source and the perfection of All That Is and surrender–surrender that which stands in the way of that perfect perception of your reality. And then proudly claim that source and force of the creative power of the Universe to create paradise. Reach deep into the Eternal Power of your being and heal the Universe that you have created. When you find yourself amongst the rubble of internal tumult  and the innuendoes of self-hate, bring the Light into that place. This is our prayer for you. When you go forth in your activities you go forth aware of the eons of experience and power within your being. Something wonderful is happening. Something beyond the physical that will be expressed […]

Emptying in Order to be Refilled

Many of your religious theologies and psychological approaches are predicated on the notion that you must become the blank tablet. The Buddhist would speak of non-investment; Christianity would speak of sacrifice. Theologically and philosophically this is an odd concoction of seemingly contradictory beliefs, and its subtle implication is that you are not good enough to receive what you wish to attain.

It would seem that humanity’s journey of growth, be it spiritual, physical or emotional, begins in a crossroads position to where you ultimately wish to be. Yet the universal acceptance of the concept of emptying yourself in order to grow must hold some validity. When you surrender, sacrifice, release or become un-invested, you allow consciousness/spirit to have access, without reservation, to all aspects of yourself to recreate your reality and fulfill your desires.

To empty yourself and be un-invested is to release the physical, emotional, mental and even spiritual attachments that can hinder you from your highest good. To become the blank tablet, the open page of a book to be written upon, is not casting off or discarding the various aspects of your life, but rather willingly placing them in the hands of a higher consciousness to be rearranged […]

The Meaning and The Mechanism of Life

Scientists, philosophers, and physicians have sought to understand and define the complexities of the state of existence called life. In the sphere of the universe, life can neither be created nor destroyed. No human or species upon your planet or any other planet has ever created—or destroyed—life. You might argue about the reproductive processes upon your planet or the ability to destroy a living thing. In either case, you are neither creating nor destroying life—you are simply changing its form.

Your planet abounds with life. You rub shoulders with life every day. Your physical existence is an expression of life; yet, the ability to explain or define it is evasive. What makes something alive? Or dead? And where are the boundaries that define life and that which we perceive as inanimate? Is the rock dead or simply a different standard of consciousness? When one dies what has left and what remains?
To fully understand life, one must be willing to acknowledge a creative consciousness in existence.
Recently renowned physicists and scientists have inferred that God was not necessary for creation. Many were frightened, dismayed, and angry over such a conjecture. Yet, in the definition of most religions concerning the concept of God, […]

Release vs Relinquishment

You may question if there is a difference between releasing or relinquishing something. These two terms define appropriate or inappropriate, effective or ineffective, ways of letting go of an object, person or place.

Release and relinquishment go together:
Release is an outward action; relinquishment is an inner attitude.
How do you know if you have released or relinquished something? If you maintain an emotional investment in what you have let go of, then you have not relinquished it. To truly let go of something, someone or someplace, you must both externally and internally let it go.

Perhaps an example is appropriate: Let us say that you give a friend a sentimental or valuable piece of jewelry, perhaps your mother’s necklace or your father’s watch. And by chance, you are informed that they have pawned it. If you have an emotional response to the action—you have not relinquished the item. You many have released it by physically giving it away, but you still possess it emotionally.
The act of release is much easier than the act of relinquishment.
What often happens is that people release and then, perhaps later, relinquish—but the internal act of relinquishment should be the source of the release. If you release without […]

Turn Around

Perspective and the point of observation are extremely important in one’s cognitive ability to comprehend what is being observed. Humanity, in its pursuit of spiritual truths, is often amiss in their point of observation.

In the past, we have used the analogy that any destination is but a short distance away, as well as being a great distance, depending on the direction you are facing. The example is if you are standing in front of your home, you are but a few feet from it. If you turn and begin to walk toward your home in the opposite direction, you will literally need to encircle the planet to reach your destination. So the distance to any destination is in direct proportion to your perception and, therefore, the perceived action needed to attain your goal. This truth reflects the interaction of the universe and consciousness, that any action is a movement towards yourself.

In the pursuit of any goal, it would seem logical that you would choose the most efficient and effective path to your destination. You would tell a friend who was walking towards their house by going in the opposite direction that they might want to turn around and take […]

Unanchoring in Order to Sail the Seas of Consciousness

The present moment is the moment of all power and potentiality. Many philosophies, psychologies, and alternative approaches to healing recognize this.
The only moment you have, or will have, is in the present.
Yet often your focus, and therefore, your conscious awareness, waivers from the firm rock of the present moment with investments in the past or future. The present moment can be a slippery slope for human consciousness to maintain a foothold.

The present moment is a combination of the here and now; it holds many secrets and promises of which the human consciousness is unaware. Within the present moment, the eternal here and the eternal now reside. It is the springboard for possibilities and potentials, the realization of goals and the capturing of dreams when you are willing to unanchor yourself from past circumstances and situations, emotions and beliefs, and future concerns or fears—and even hopes.
The building blocks for the future are found in the present moments of the now.
Yes, you must visualize and affirm what you desire for the future, but you must fully and completely live in the present moment. While planning the future or seeking to release the past, you can often live there—waiting for something to […]

Evolution or Evolvement?

Philosophies fight between creationism and evolution. Sociologists banter back and forth about human development and psychologists certainly add to the mix. The simple truth of human existence is the emergence of the consciousness that created all things becoming physically manifest. The question of evolution or evolvement is neither a religious quandary nor a scientific debate. It is the question whether humanity is being driven or driving itself towards its own self-fulfillment.
Evolution is a passive state where physical existence is manipulated by outside forces and an internal process expressed in an outward expression.
This begs the question of humanity’s participation in both the creation and the creative process of physical existence. Humanity was born from the physical material of creation just as the seedling emerges its head above the soil that contains it. Humanity is the sparks of consciousness erupting from the fabric of existence. Humanity is creation expressing itself. The same force that grows the mighty oak or gives birth to the lamb and lion is the same force within you. You are in dominion. You are the pinnacle of the pyramid of existence for every living creature. Every physical component of the earth is a stepping stone to your […]

Cleansing the Palette of the Soul

We are sure that you are aware of the practice of cleansing the physical palette between courses of a sumptuous meal. What is the purpose and intent of this action? Would you not want to savor the delicacies long after they have been consumed? Yet when the palette is not cleansed, you cannot fully and completely appreciate a new taste, a new sensory experience.

Cleansing the physical palette brings you back to a place of unbiased receptivity, uninfluenced by other tastes and textures in order that you might fully experience what is being offered in the moment. The same is true of the soul, though we doubt if many have ever considered that correlation in cleansing the physical and spiritual palette.

As mentioned, cleansing the palette is to acknowledge that which has been consumed or experienced and return to a neutral place in order to experience something new. On life’s journey, one seldom thinks of cleansing the soul’s experiences.
Cleansing the palette of the soul allows you to be in the experiential moment of spiritual awareness.
Cleansing the palette of the soul is not the same concept of living in the present moment or forgiving the past, it is an acknowledgment of completion […]

Prelude to Paradise

Humanity has the opportunity to look at its creations that deplete the environment, threaten the environment, or simply ignore the effects of the world industrial complex on the eco-structure.
As we’ve discussed in the past, the true understanding of the “tribulation” is not when humanity rebels against itself—but the earth rebels against humanity.
Just as in your own lives, you must take responsibility for your own creations—and transform and transmute them into the higher good, humanity must take responsibility for its creations and their impact upon the planet. Some of the recent man-made disasters are a precursor to greater changes in the environment and an opportunity for humanity to re-evaluate the impact and consequences of its behaviors upon the planet before these planetary shifts occur. The failure to learn would ultimately be calamitous; for, when the “real” disasters occur, society’s infrastructure will be far more vulnerable to the earth’s changes and shifts.

The greater disaster in Japan is the nuclear devastation that is, and will, occur. The earthquake and tsunami, in and of itself, would be disaster enough, but long after the hearts have healed, the economy has recovered and the debris has been carried away, the effects of this event will […]

Hallelujah has long been a song of praise and prayer. It is not affiliated with any religious sect or spiritual belief; yet, to the one that sings it and the one that hears it, it uplifts the soul, lightens the heart and immerses you in the presence of God.

The origins of this symbolic sound are more ancient than history itself. It is born from the eternal yearnings of the soul and the desire to express the presence of God. It is the foundation of all language. It is the intuitive song of the Ohm and is the sister to the song of the universe. It represents the essence of expression and the complete statement of existence. It is a song of love from the lover to the beloved. Born of the sacred Ohm, the sound, the song and the name of God. It is the song of existence.

Let your life be full of song. Let your soul sing the presence of God. By whatever nature you believe God to be, one thing holds true: that by the very essence of your soul it sings with the creation.

Hallelujah. Ohm. Feel its presence whisper in your heart. Feel its melody embrace […]

Stairway to Heaven

Let us simply summarize—the universe is in the progressive return to that which created it. There are energetic shifts and waves of consciousness that inundate the very universe in which you dwell. This energetic shift has occurred many times on the spiral stairs to the consciousness of God.
This shift is particularly important and unique—it is at the cusp of the dimensions and by its very nature causes physicality and consciousness to move into the next dimension.
So this is a unique shift in comparison to other recent shifts over the last millennia. Not every shift in consciousness is a shift in dimension. Think of it this way, imagine a building twelve stories high and each floor represents one of the houses of consciousness. Each step in each bank of stairs is a shift. Yet when you get to the top stair, what occurs? You are now in the next house. That is what is occurring here. Why it is important?
What is occurring here, occurs every 250,000 years.
There is a cycle to the shifts and the energy, be it the signs of the zodiac, be it 2500 and 25,000 year increments. Not to over simplify but there are ten major steps […]

The Anatomy of a Reality

It has been spoken of that there are infinite aspects of yourself, a myriad of realities simultaneously occurring at any moment of time. It is only the ego consciousness that determines which reality you experience. If your reality was like a chessboard, each of the squares would be a reality of yourself but you reside only in one square at a time.

Multiple realities, alternate realities, previous and future existence, their possibility becomes confounding to the finite mind of humanity. One often feels it is difficult enough to take charge of one life without all these renegade and unknown aspects of oneself gallivanting through time and space.

The immenseness of your being and its multiple expressions is beyond any consciousness awareness that you are able to comprehend in physical form yet there is a doorway, there is a portal of passage that allows you to choose the reality in which you desire to dwell.
Now, in the truth of it, whatever is manifesting in your present reality is obviously what you have chosen.
Yet sometimes we do not choose as well as we might be due to misinformation, lack of understanding or even conscious deception that that is what we desire.

A better imagery […]
