It is the common belief of most philosophies and religions that humanity is intrinsically good; yet, when left to its own devices, many seem to revert to the lowest common denominator of their baser nature, rather than their lofty ideals.
Now that may be seen as a harsh judgment, and admittedly, there are those who shine brightest in their darkest night. Yet, humanity seems to need to have constraints to protect it from itself by laws and treaties. Without rules, humanity can quickly become barbaric, as evidenced by ages of war and days of peace. As a result, everyone becomes suspect in your world, and you anticipate the worst rather than expect the best.
Humanity seems to be its own greatest disappointment to the promise that has been made.
You need neither protest nor agree with what we say, but simply be observant of the state of affairs of your community, country and world. Do you walk through life feeling safe? Do you anticipate the stranger you encounter at night wishes you no harm? No? Why not? We speak to these issues to neither judge nor criticize, but to assist in the answer to the question that by now we believe you might be asking, “Why is this so and what can be done about it?”
Humanity’s greatness is intrinsic to its nature, but not to its natural instinctive behavior. Humanity must temper itself and not surrender to base behavior. The answer may surprise you that the source of this dilemma is that human beings are animals. No, not figuratively—but literally. The agreement of the soul to become physical was to take on these traits as part of the package. Now the result is, if not fettered by spiritual reserve and fueled by the creative power of consciousness, you can have a problem—and humanity does.
The animal nature of humanity is not a deficit, but untamed becomes aggressive like its cousins.
Do not be insulted or embarrassed by your animal attributes. Avoidance to acknowledge them and denial of their affects on human behavior will set them free to run rampant across behavioral boundaries. Accepting that humanity instinctively has pack mentality, survival traits, sexual dominance behavior and an aggressive nature when threatened, to name a few, is an important first step in incorporating them into the consciousness you bring to the planet. When humanity is able to sit down with each other, the lion will lie down with the lamb.
In embracing the benefits of being human, do not neglect the species waiting to be transformed by your consciousness. The basic instinctual nature that often harasses human behavior is for survival.
As humanity transcends the physical to rely on the spiritual for its sustenance, the behaviors will subside and humanity’s greatness will appear.
Until then, do not deny the species you are; for, in its womb is an awakening consciousness. Acknowledge all aspects of your physical self and tame the “beast” by reminding it that it is safe. Within its very being is the consciousness that created it—and all will become well in your world.
